Madagascar is an island in the Indian Ocean off the southeastern coast of Africa. It lies between latitudes 12°S and 26°S and longitudes 43°E and 51°E.
Being the fourth-largest island in the world, it comprises of numerous smaller peripheral islands. And most of the island include the plateau of the central highlands, eastern escarpment, tropical forests, and coastal mangroves.
