Nevada derives its name from a Spanish word meaning “ Snow Covered”. It is officially nicknamed as the "Silver State" because of the importance of silver to its history and economy.

The map of Nevada depicts the urban and physical layout of the state with rich imagery designed in planimetric style. The state capital Carson City and major towns and settlements are named and accurately marked on the map. Route charts of interstate, national and state highways are illustrated with specific numbering and color coded thread margins.

Freeways, tolls ways, state highways and other major roads are also drawn out clearly. It is the second most populous city of Nevada. Attractions of the city include museum of art, Automobile museum and Nevada Opera. Natural spaces that can be located on the inset include Lake Tahoe, Truckee River and the Pyramid Lake. Reno is served with Interstate 80 and 580.     Lake Mead Recreational area is located in the southeastern part of Nevada. The area is a major tourist attraction and offers a wide range of water sports and hiking possibilities. State Highway 147 also known as Lake Mead Boulevard and State Route 564 lead to Lake Mead.
