Where is the Bahamas?
The Bahamas in the Lucayan Archipelago consists of more than 700 islands, cays, and islets in the Atlantic Ocean. It is located north of Cuba and Hispaniola, northwest of the Turks and Caicos Islands, southeast of Florida, and east of the Florida Keys.
All of the country lies between latitudes 20° and 28°N, and longitudes 72° and 80°W and straddles the Tropic of Cancer. The capital city of Nassau lies on the island of New Providence.
Other inhabited islands are Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, San Salvador Island, Cat Island, Rum Cay, Ragged Island, Acklins, Long Island, Crooked Island, Berry Islands, Exuma, and Mayaguana.
