About Lake Cowichan British Columbia

Lake Cowichan, a small town incorporated in 1944, is located on the east end of Cowichan Lake. It is the second-most pristine lake in British Columbia and is surrounded on all sides by the Pacific Northwest Temperate rainforest. This rainforest contains the largest, tallest, and oldest trees in the world outside of California. The ecosystem here also has the warmest climate in Canada.

Another interesting fact about the Lake Cowichan is that it lies at the western end of the Trans Canada Trail, which, when completed, will be one of the longest trail networks in the world at almost 24,000 kilometers.
